Happy Birthday (Lawn Fawn)

by Kylie

Hi everyone,

The moment I saw the Giant Outlined Happy Birthday: Landscape die set from Lawn Fawn, I couldn’t wait to get it. I knew it would be the perfect die to use to create a birthday card for my Mum. The simplicity of the design with such bright, happy colours would very much appeal to her.

Before starting, I picked out my colours. I picked out a piece of patterned paper (which is an old Stampin’ Up!® paper) and then picked out some coordinating cardstock. As I wanted the card to have a lot of dimension I die-cut the white cardstock five times and adhered them together. I then die-cut the shape from some other bright cardstock. Next it was a matter of layering all the pieces together and then adhering this to my card front.

The final touch was to add some shimmer with the Close to My Heart Clear Shimmer Brush and the card was done.

Here’s the card…

This card just makes me happy. It’s so pretty and simple. Okay, it takes a bit of time to die-cut all the cardstock and then piece and adhere it together but it looks so good when it is finished! I just know my Mum is going to love it too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Kylie
