You’re Dino-mite Shaker Card (Lawn Fawn)

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

Today I’m sharing another card using the super cute dinosaurs from the Lawn Fawn stamp set “Critters from the Past“. I stamped and coloured so many of the images the other day. You can expect to see another dinosaur card again very, very soon.

For today’s card I decided it was time to make a shaker card. They have been all the buzz in recent months but I kept resisting joining in. It has been *years* since I last made a shaker card. It’s so fun though and I won’t leave it so long until I make another. I cut out lots of leaves to go in the centre to shake around. I really like the look.

Here’s the card…

You're Dino-mite Materials used: Stamps - Critters from the Past (Lawn Fawn); Dies - Custom Panels Die (Avery Elle), Pierced Rectangle Stax (MFT); Cardstock - American Crafts, Knights Smooth,; and Copic Markers.

That’s all for today. Hope you have had a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Ooh, shaker card! I only ever made one of those, and it was such a long process… I love what you’ve done, though! That pink dino is seriously my favorite. Love the little spots you created with the colorless blender, too! Such a fun detail. ♥

I just went the super easy option for my shaker card – Simple rectangle. Makes it soooo much easier. Thanks! I think the little pink one is one of my faves too. 🙂

Thanks, Monika! It was so fun to make. I think that if you used different colours it would be perfect for a little boy. 🙂

I love you put the leave in as shaker-embellishment!! Great idea 🙂

Thanks, Ellen! I don’t really use sequins so it seemed like a good choice. 🙂

For gosh sakes, Kylie…this is such a gem! LOVE the scene and especially LOVE your creative spark in using leaves as the shaker element! Only tooooo fabulous! Yes, the shakers…I’ve made a grand total of….maybe three…because I have issues with using the acetate properly! May have to try again at some point! You’ve definitely inspired me to do so! I want to give those leaves a shaky-shake and those sweet dinos a big squeeze!
Hugs~c

Thanks, Carol! I love this one a lot. It just seemed to work. 🙂 Oh what issues do you have with the acetate? Don’t let it stop you from working your magic. hugs!
