Hi Everyone,
Usually when I make ‘scene’ type cards I fussy cut out my stamped and coloured images and pop them onto the base cardstock. My cards tend to have a lot of layers and dimension. This also gives me the flexibility to move items around. As it had been quite a while since I experimented with masking, I thought it was time to give it another go and this time my goal was to create a one layer scene card. The Lawn Fawn set Year Five was still on my table so I decided to create another card using this image. The logical pairing (in my mind) was the Life is Good stamp set, also by Lawn Fawn. I had a rough idea of my design before I started but I still mixed up my layers twice before I finally stamped them all in the correct order. The scene turned out to be super cute, I think. The scene itself is flat but I couldn’t help myself – I *had* to pop the panel up using mounting tape! lol
Here’s the first card…

Life is good
Materials used: Stamps – Life is Good, Year Five (Lawn Fawn); Dies – Pierced Rectangle Stax (MFT); Cardstock – Knights Smooth, American Crafts; and Copic Markers.
I couldn’t just stop at one card though as it was just too much fun to colour. I made another card which was almost identical to the one above so I won’t share that one. I then decided I wanted to spice the card up a little more.
Here’s the second card…

Life is good
Materials used: Stamps – Life is Good, Year Five (Lawn Fawn); Dies – Die-namics Blueprints 13, Pierced Rectangle Stax (MFT); Cardstock – Knights Smooth, Doodlebug Design; Designer Paper – Sunkissed (Doodlebug Design), Twine (Stampin’ Up!) and Copic Markers.
Of course, I couldn’t stop with this design so I had to make another. Whilst this card does have a few layers, I didn’t pop up any of them – how unusual! lol
Here’s the card…

Relax
Materials used: Stamps – Life is Good, Year Five (Lawn Fawn); Dies – Die-namics Blueprints 13, Pierced Rectangle Stax (MFT); Cardstock – Knights Smooth, American Crafts; Designer Paper – Sunkissed (Doodlebug Design), and Copic Markers.
I had so much fun creating these cards and I really hope you enjoy them too. I had recorded a video to go with this post but it went a little wonky. Hopefully I will have another video to share soon. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Happy Stamping!
