What a Hoot!

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

It’s official! I love the Hooties set by Paper Smooches. Admittedly I have only used a few of the stamps from the set thus far but still – LOVE! 🙂

I’ve made two cards again today. They are super similar as my motivation was just to have a play. The design isn’t what was in my head but at the same time I really like them. And I was literally about to publish this post when I decided to enter “Who Loves You?” into the Anything Goes challenge on the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge blog.

I have more owls stamped out. Thinking it might be fun to put glossy accents on the eyes and then piece another set of eyelids on the top. Or will it just look odd? Guess I will just have to see!

Happy Stamping!

Squeal! *Owl* I can say is these cards a a *hoot*! Alright, ’nuff with owl-speak! Seriously, these are darling; your colouring, the layout, the sweet signature hearts on the first, the mini scenes: you’ve breathed life into these fine feathered friends! I’ve looked at the PS site and yours, my friend, are certainly exemplary examples (??) of how delightful and versatile this set is! Cutie-patooties, both! Love them! I sent my email to PS as requested; haven’t heard anything yet, however, I’m aiming to do some ‘adding to the wish list’ shopping today. Choices, choices…and decisions…and I just know I’ll be adding more to the order (the mini monograms are appealing….). Heading back to give your owls another gaze of admiration…Hugs~c

lol I’ll behave with the owl-speak too. I am totally humbled by your comment, Carol! Thank you so much! It took a few days for PS to get back to me too. I can definitely understand the desire to add to the shopping list to get the mini monograms. I did the same. Plus if it has to come from another country you need to make it count. haha Love how I justify things? lol hugs hugs hugs!

So gorgeous! I love the coloring, and the stamp is just full of personality! Is it weird that the owl looks totally flirty? I just can’t help but think she’s going to swoop down and kiss the lucky boy owl’s cheek.

I also love the circle and the black border. It’s very striking, but it adds just the perfect amount of contrast.

Keep going, Kylie! I cannot wait to see the next card. 🙂

lol Elle! I thought the same thing about the owl. The one with the pink embellishments does look flirty. haha I thought it was just the copic fumes going to my head. The background circle is actually a very gorgeous dark brown. It’s funny how it looks black though. Much better in person! lol Thanks so much for the lovely compliment, Elle! You are such a sweetheart!
