I Love Roo

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all enjoyed a very happy Valentine’s Day!

I’ve been thinking a lot about the moving card from my last post so decided to try again. I’m sure there is a secret to making it work perfectly but I haven’t nutted it out yet. It’s ridiculous how much I have thought about this concept. lol I really am loving the process and the end effect. These cards are a bit of fun.

I have decided to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog because the theme is We Love Stamps…and I do too! lol

I think I might also enter it into the Paper Smooches Fun & Cute challenge because I think this card is cute (it features Paper Smooches stamps so it has to be cute!) and fun (because of the moving element and the pun). I’ve never entered one card in more than one challenge before. It feels a bit odd. lol

So here is my card…

I Love Roo Materials used: Stamps - A Little Lovin, Cosmos, Summer Groves (Paper Smooches); Wise Dies - Clouds (Paper Smooches); Cardstock - American Crafts; Distress Ink, Copic Markers; and Hero Arts Shadow Ink.

I guess it is a “typical” Kylie card with the crooked centre panel and the scenery, etc. I do tend to build things in the same way…but…I guess there are worse things. lol 🙂

Oh, and before I forget, I promised I was going to share what I received in my win/splurge from Paper Smooches this week. I picked up the Wise Dies – Hello Words and Flowers. I have the matching stamp set so will look forward to pulling this set out again and seeing what happens. I also picked up the new stamp sets Hooties and Happy Birthday. *swoon* The older stamp sets Chubby Chum Pals and Surf and Turf also joined my collection and last but not least I received the Mini Monograms from their wonderful “Thanks a Million” program! Lucky me!! I have started to have a little play with the Hooties set and it is so totally adorable!

Hope you all have a very happy day!

Happy Stamping!

What a lovely card – beautifully coloured, with a strong graphic and child-like feel. Thanks for joining us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Oh how cute your hopping kangaroo is! The little scene you’ve created is darling, and having her carrying a heart…love is in the air!! Fabulous, delightful, dazzling!! You are rocking the PS products! Speaking of products: thank you for sharing your selections! The Happy Birthday set – yes, definitely swoon-worthy, as are the Hello and Flower dies. I have Calico stamp set and I think the Flowers might be a bit of a match, so they’re going on my wish list. As for Hooties (the word alone makes me laugh!): you will work magic with those feathered friends. Excited to see what you’ll be creating, because I know you’ll bring them to life with your outstanding creativity! Thank you x 100000 for you sweet comment on my city-scape card! Hearing from you brings a cheer to my day and warmth to my heart! You’re a treasure!! Hugs~c

Oh C, you are darling! I’m so loving PS at the moment (always! lol). My poor other stamps are getting lonely. Oh well…an excuse to spend more time creating, perhaps? I have the Calico stamp set too and that is why I bought the Flowers set because I thought the dies would be heaps better than my crappy cutting. 🙂 You are welcome, C – that card is soooo awesome! And ditto on your last two sentences!! hugs! 🙂

Another fun card! I love how the kangaroo looks like she’s strolling along the forest, getting ready for a date.

It’s so exciting to see all the great new stamps you got! I can’t wait to see what you’re going to make with them. Hooties looks too cute for words. I will have to pick that one up next time I’m shopping. 🙂

Thanks so much, Elle! Wondering how it would look if I put a skateboard underneath her. lol Kinda think it might be fun too.

I know!! I feel so lucky! The hooties set is so cute. I have stamped up the largest one and half coloured him but then I got sidetracked. lol If you get it too, I cannot wait to see what you’ll do. I bet it will be gorgeous!
