Hope to See You Again

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

I’ve been playing with the Promenade set from Paper Smooches tonight. I liked the basic idea (the scenic panel) of the Feel Better Soon card I made last week so I started with that idea. I loved the idea of making the little scene appear through a window so that is what I tried today.

Here’s today’s card:

Hope to See You Again Materials used: Stamps - Party Posse, Promenade (Paper Smooches); Home Sweet Home (Lawn Fawn); Distress Markers; Designer Paper - 6-1/2" Paper Pad - Blae & Ivy (KAISERCraft); Pearls - Snow (KAISERCraft); Lawn Trimmings (Lawn Fawn), Distress Stickles - Crystal (Ranger) and Die Cut - Window (Silhouette).

Hope to See You Again

I think it is just a little bit cute. Oh, if you are wondering why the grey shadow on the window frame is where it is – I had just applied the glue when the doorbell rang. I quickly stuck it down and it wasn’t until I got back that I realised I had done it the wrong way. lol Oh well…I still like it. I’ve now cut some more so will give this window scene look another go. It’s CUTE!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a wonderful day and I…hope to see you again! 😉

Happy Stamping!

I could offer a ton of excuses for not commenting on your precious card, but suffice it to say that I did look at it, love it, and am desperately trying to make up for lost time. Life, appointments, and meetings got in the way. I really love this card. It reminds me of my younger days, looking out my bedroom window waiting for dad to come home from work. This scene evokes tons of emotions, which is exactly what a card should do. Absolutely adore this. And the coloring…oh the coloring. I think you need to come for a visit and teach me how to do this!!!! Seriously! : )

Oh Bev, you don’t need to say anything. Life gets busy and sometimes we just don’t have the time to do all that we want to do, let along what we HAVE to do. Thank you so much for your sweet words and you know I would LOVE to come create with you. How fun would that be! I’m so glad you had a walk down memory lane with my card. That made me feel so good! Thank you!

A “little bit” cute? Hardly…it’s a WHOLE BUNCH cute! Your re-vision of the scene is darling and amazing! Love the window, the sentiment, the papers, the colours – EVERYTHING! You’ve captured ‘missing you’ wonderfully, with the wee hearts, the empty bench, the gentle, soft colours. Yes indeed: LOVE this! And since i’m heading home, this is also exactly how I’m feeling leaving my family! Have a fabulous day, Kylie!!

Thank you so much, C! I’m really happy with the re-design too. It was tucked away there – I just took a while to drag it from my head. haha

Drive safely! Cannot wait to see your next masterpieces. Try and have a super happy day despite leaving the family again.
