Hello and Thanks

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

Last night I popped into Spotlight on the way home from work to pick up one item and by the time I left I had a basketful – how does that happen? Anyway…I have now jumped into the world of mists and masks and I have also realised there is a reason why I hadn’t jumped in earlier. They’re a bit messy. lol They are fun though.

I made a couple of simple cards to share using the mists – just spraying them onto wood veneer shapes. The dark butterfly isn’t black as it appears in the photo it is actually “heirloom blue” and it matches the card very well.

Hello Materials used: Alphabeans - Fig Brown (Jillibean Soup); Designer Paper (Simple Stories); Wood Veneer - Butterflies (Studio Calico); Mists - Mister Huey's Colour Mists (Studio Calico); Pearls (KaiserCraft) and Distress Ink (Ranger).

Having made one, I thought…why not make another. This time I used a mask to add a bit more texture to the background.

I was a bit worried that this one has way too many pearls on it but…I got over that thinking. lol I like it. 🙂

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Happy Stamping!

WOW, Kylie ` these are simply stunning! The butterflies are soooo pretty, and your flowers – gorgeous! The combination just doesn’t get any better than that (well, with maybe the exception of ‘real’ flowers and butterflies). As for the pearls – no such thing as too many, my friend! Yours are perfect in number and placement! I’m applauding your venture into mists and masking, with the first two being stellar! I’m so not ready to explore those directions -limited space, limited $$ (that I’d rather spend on dies *grin*), limited talent! As for your shopping: yep, no such thing as buying “one” item where a craft store is involved!! LOVE your cards – and sooooo happy to have dropped by to make my ‘missing my family’ day a less teary! You always, always brighten my spirits! Hugs~c
