Hello

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the blogging absence lately. Basically it comes down to summer. We had one week where the temperature stayed in the low to mid 40’s (that’s celsius so approximately 104 to 113°F) and I don’t function well in that weather. lol It’s been a pretty hot summer and it is the perfect time to kick back and watch the cricket and there has been a lot of cricket to watch. I have made a couple of cards to try and get myself back into the swing of things but the mojo isn’t quite back yet. Need more practice! 😉

So it all started with this card:

Hello! Materials used: Designer Papers from Simple Stories; Chipboard Stickers - Vintage Bliss (Simple Stories); Lawn Trimmings (Lawn Fawn).

I totally LOVED the butterflies from the Simple Stories Chipboard Stickers – Vintage Bliss set and thought that a little bit of bling would finish them off perfectly. So next up came this card.

I really then just wanted to keep using the stickers in the Vintage Bliss chipboard sticker set so quickly whipped up this card. I added a ribbon to the sticker just to give it a bit more oomph.

Last, but not least, I finally gave into the banner phase. This card is sweet but now that it is finished I have been thinking about what I would do differently. Actually there is really only one thing I would have done differently – clouds. I wish I had sponged the sky to have a few soft clouds. I think that would have been perfect. Is that a good excuse to go out and buy another pack of these cute stickers? lol Maybe…

Happy Birthday Materials used: Designer Papers from Simple Stories; Chipboard Stickers - Vintage Bliss (Simple Stories); Stamps - Salutations (Paper Smooches).

Me again: seriously, I need to proofread, because my keyboard has taken to sticking words together, and spelling incorrectly *grin*). I meant to write: neither do I function in… And to think I taught high school English…yeesh! More hugs~c

KYLIE!! My commenting opportunities have been in ‘delay’ mode, partially because blogger’s been acting up, partially because of travels to visit family (a ‘good’ reason), and partially because I’m disorganized to the nth degree! Here I am though to say, Yayyyyy….so ecstatic to see you back crafting (niether do I funcitonin hot weather, and your temperatures are scorchers! Ick!), and quadruple yayyyyy on this gallery of stunning cards you’ve created. You’ve worked magic with your collection of Simple Stories goodies. Butterflies, letters, flowers+vases, banners, combined with awesome layers/patterns makes for a gallery of gorgeous! I’d say Mr. Mojo is doing very well, based on how delightful these are! LOVE them all! Hugs to you, sweet friend~c

Hi Carol, So good to hear from you! Thank you so much for your sweet words – you know they mean so much to me. I guess you are freezing away while we melt away with the heat. Let’s share our weather – we could end up with a happy medium. haha If only, right? 🙂 Hope you have been having a wonderful visit with the family. I cannot believe you would be disorganised. You do so much that you just have to be organised to fit it all in. 🙂 I’m going to pop over and visit any second… hugs!!
