Wishing You A Pawsome Day

Hi Everyone, as a massive fan of Lawn Fawn, I love it when they issue their new releases. Well, artistically, I love it but the wallet doesn’t love it quite as much. Haha! I’m sure many of you can relate! The latest release had so many wonderful things but sadly, I just couldn’t get them all. One item which nearly didn’t make the cut was the Meow You Doin’? set. I’m a dog person so tend to favour the dog images but there was something about this set I couldn’t resist. I’m so glad I got it as it is such a fun set to use. I have only just started to explore this set. Initially, I started to create with this set as part of my quest to design an 18th Birthday card (see this post) but I decided to go in a different direction for that project. Nevertheless, since the stamp set was out, I just had to create with it! The one thing I *wish* I had done differently? Purchased the coordinating die set! This is now on the Wish List! It would have made the putting together of some of these cards even simpler! The following set of four shows variations of the same theme but I hope you will see something in one of the designs which will inspire you.

Here’s the first card…

Materials used: Stamps – Meow You Doin’? (Lawn Fawn); Dies – Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables, Stitched Party Banners (Lawn Fawn); Cardstock – Knights Smooth, American Crafts; Inks – Black Licorice, Manatee, Celery Stick, Freshly Cut Grass (Lawn Fawn), Tumbled Glass (Tim Holtz/Ranger); Copic Markers and Wink of Stella – Clear.

So after our FT this morning, and ‘someone’ getting up early and ruining my “me morning” time, I’m just now getting back to my craft room. I’ve been working while you’ve been (hopefully) sound asleep. And I love these kitty cards! Firstly, your coloring is, as always, brilliant. And your backgrounds are perfect for your showcased little party pals. Love the right sided coloring on your first two; that was soo smart! I’d never think of that! See….you do need to move in with me! Maybe we should start a card making island…with endless craft supplies, endless drinks, and of course, endless cabana boys!! Anyway…. I love these and do expect to see more from you soon. You wouldn’t want to disappoint me, now, would you? lol Big hugs!!!

I’m sorry the certain ‘someone’ cut into your ‘me’ time. That’s disappointing! Was so good having our chat though. So good to catch up. We should do it more regularly. Thank you for the sweet comments about my cards. I left the colouring on the right as I knew I wanted to use the pink ink and if I carried the background all the way across you wouldn’t be able to see it. 🙂 Yay for a cardmakers island paradise! I’m all for that!! big hugs, my friend!
