Sunday leftovers

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

I coloured up a few of the cute Penny Black Bees & Bunny images yesterday but didn’t make them all into cards. I do that a lot. I also had a few pieces of patterned paper scattered around the desk and one image ended on top of one of the sheets and I thought…that actually looks okay. Decided to put a quick and simple card together and this is the result…

Thanks Materials used: Stamps - Bees & Bunny 2305H (Penny Black); Thanks (Hero Arts); Cardstock - American Crafts, Knight; Designer Paper - Max & Whiskers 6x6 Paper Pad (Basic Grey); Distress Ink, Distress Markers; and Ribbon - Dark Chocolate (Krafty Savers).

Thanks

Hope you all have had, or will have, a fantastic Monday! Thanks for visiting today!

Happy Stamping!

Hi Kylie: how delightful to hear that we’re ‘virtual’ classmates! Yes, these courses are amazing! I’ve *taken* Pattern Play and His&Hers previously, and while my ‘efforts’ may not display it, I learned ever, ever so much (including “I need way, way, way more stuff!!”). My assignments from yesterday, as you’ll see on my site, are somewhat “meh” – I’m not sure which “must follow” perplexed me more: the colours or the sketch I chose. Likely the combination of both, as I wound up tooooo caught up with being too ‘literal’ in interpreting. Perhaps today will ‘flow’ a bit more smoothly. And yes, please, please, please do play along, as I – and ever so many others – would LOVE to see what you create!! Have a lovely Tuesday!!

Hi C, oh I know – I need way, way, way more stuff too – and I already have too much. lol They showcase some fantastic stamps. I thought your homework cards were lovely. Being too hard on yourself!! I haven’t done any homework again tonight. Maybe tomorrow? Maybe… 🙂 Hope you have a great Wednesday! 🙂 I’m off to see what you’ve been creating. 🙂

Serendipitous paper match! (How’s THAT for a word?!) It’s a wonderful paper; it just accents the darling little bunny perfectly. Everything here works. Love this. Bev : )

Hi Kylie – another snippet of this fantastically cute image, with shades a wee bit darker than your previous one – and yes, it looks darling on the paper it “landed” on. Funny,I found a job once, working in a coffee shop called Second Cup, simply because I dropped the phone book I was thumbing through and when I picked it up, the page it had opened on – under the letter “s” was precisely what I *needed* at the time. Sometimes things just ‘work out’ in the most interesting ways! I’ve started an online card course today, so I’m looking forward to what the lessons will teach me. Since I have ‘colouring better’ as a summer goal, I know I’ll be returning to several of your previous cards for some ‘close up’ explorations! Hope you have a fantastic Monday…or is it Tuesday for you already?

Hi C,
Want to hear a secret as to why the colours are darker? In the previous card design I stuck the image down in the wrong spot. I forgot that I had water coloured it and when I applied un-du to remove it, it kinda washed out some of the colours. haha Oh well, you live and learn. Isn’t serendipity amazing? Just love it. I’m doing the same course! I love watching videos of other people creating and Jennifer McGuire jam packs soooo many ideas into her videos. That’s the main reason I sign up. I might play along this time too. lol Thanks for your lovely compliment! Hope you have an amazing day today!
