Hi Everyone,
I was browsing through the new Stampin’ Up catalogue (my wish list is HUGE!) and saw a gorgeous card using their woodgrain stamp and I wished I had thought of the idea first. It was so simple but so effective. If you have the Australian catalogue, the card I am referring to can be found on page 75. The very next stamp of mine which happened to catch my eye was…yes, you guessed it…a woodgrain stamp. I have the Designer Woodgrain S5208 stamp from Hero Arts. I was toying with creating something similar and next thing I know I’ve gone in a completely different direction. lol Isn’t that often the way?
So today, I have made two super quick and simple cards. The background is, of course, the Designer Woodgrain from Hero Arts and the other stamped images are from Paper Smooches (the Calico and Salutations sets).

It would be so quick to make up a whole set of cards like this…plus they are fun to make!

Kylie, these are stunning cas cards! The colourful band across the woodgrain *works* perfectly! Eye-catching! I have the Calico stamp set, and you’ve inspired (again, as you always do!!) more ideas for using it! Pretty!! It totally fits the current Case Study #153 challenge. The inspiration photo has a wreath of flowers, but the entries so far show all make and manner of ‘flowery concoctions’! Look at me: marketing you once again, but…creativity and talent ought to be showcased whenever and wherever possible! Have a super day!
