Pinch and a Punch!

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

Pinch and a punch! Happy 1st of July! Wow, how quickly is this year passing by?! And my time spent creating tonight has passed by in the blink of an eye too but I am pretty happy with what I ended up with. It’s just a sweet little thank you card using Penny Black and Hero Arts stamps.

I apologise for the bad photograph too. The light isn’t great tonight. I wish you could see how pretty the colours are in real life.

Thank you Materials used: Stamps - Gone Fishin' 2088K (Penny Black), Thank you (Hero Arts); Designer Paper - Fiction 6x6 Paper Pad (Basic Grey); Cardstock - American Crafts, Knight; Distress Markers; Craft Punch - Fiskars and Mini Pearls - Spring Assortment (doodlebug design).

Thank you

Felt sooo good to colour again. I feel like I am out of practice. On the plus side, I picked up some new paintbrushes this weekend. The ferrule is getting loose on my favourite brush so I need to replace it. I have been using the same brand of Round no. 2 Taklon brushes for years but I haven’t been able to find them for months. I gave up looking and decided it was time to trial some different brands – so far so good!

Okay enough rambling! Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Happy Stamping!

Oh my, these little mice are beyond adorable! The ‘flower umbrella’ over the one is darling! Love what you’ve done with these stamps, and like Bev, I’m in awe of your colouring! I was practicing with my whooping huge set of 12 copics yesterday and the result wasn’t what I’d hoped!! Grrr…however, I’ll continue to practice, because I do find the colouring fun and relaxing, even if the outcome is a bit messy. Actually, I doubt I’ll be moving beyond 12 colours (unless that lottery happens!). Have a great day! We’re ‘planning’ to go on a hike at Lake Louise (just outside Banff today) in hopes that some mountain air will be cooling and refreshing. Fingers crossed that happens!! *Talk* to you soon; looking forward to see what new delights will appear!!

Thank you so much, C! It was fun to colour again. I am so thrilled you had a play with your Copics. Gotta start somewhere. 🙂 They are a bit on the pricey, side though, I agree. I know a few others are starting to use promarkers because they are similar but less expensive. I have a couple (literally only a couple) and they seem like good alternatives.

I’d LOVE to visit Lake Louise! I’ve just turned a pale shade of green. hehe It looks incredibly picturesque! It was one of my Grandparents favourite places to visit too. It is definitely on the bucket list. Hope you had an amazing day. Hope you have an equally amazing day today too. 🙂

I’m sorry. Your coloring is perfect. If I could color like you do, I’d buy more intricate stamps, silly girl! Such a sweet image. Even the reflection has ‘mousie’ colors! You are so darn good at this — I’m in awe. Perfect dp for these images. I love your work. This is terrific! You so rock. Have a good ?Tuesday? Well, have a good day no matter which day it is by you! lol

Oh Bev, you are too kind. I guess it is one of those things where if you spend so much time looking soooo closely at something you tend to see the flaws, or where you wish you had done something different. I wasn’t intending to be super critical, I just saw a little room for improvement. 🙂

And by the time I read your comment, it was Tuesday. lol It has been a good day, thank you! I hope your Tuesday is equally as enjoyable. 🙂
