Hey Roo

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

I’m still on my Paper Smooches kick. All my other stamps are getting lonely but what can you do? You have to follow where the muse leads. lol

I sat myself in front of part one of the mini-series “INXS – Never Tear Us Apart” last night and created a couple of cards. I was on a roll. If it hadn’t been a “school night” I think I could have been in for the long haul. I felt so inspired (not by the mini-series although I am enjoying it)!

The first card I made is called “Hey Roo”. I liked the pun and I was inspired by the card I shared yesterday. I am going to enter this card into two competitions! Wow! The first is the Get Krafty challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog.

The second challenge I am entering is the Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes challenge. Love this challenge!

Ok, my total favorite part of this picture is the colors you choose for the kangaroo. Which colors did you use?

It was really hard to choose the favorite part, mind you. The swirly cloud was incredibly fun, the notebook edge is something I am adding to my “to-get” list, and the overall layout is absolutely fantastic. I also loved how much detail you added to the image, while at the same time keeping it from becoming a cluttered mess.

Thank you, Elle! You’re really testing my brain now. lol I usually try and jot down my preferred colour combinations so I don’t have to try and remember the next time I want to achieve the same look but…I forgot. I think I used E33, E34 and E57. The notebook paper die is just so lovely. I wonder how it would look if you actually stamped it up with lines and made it more like a piece of paper. Bet it would be fun! Thanks again, Elle! hugs!

Hey Roo to you, too! Another little gem with your sweet kangaroo (his smile is so adorable!)! You are rapidly becoming a PS pro with your products; each one unique and delightful! The scenes you create are magical – and the addition of little hearts in each one is such a perfect special touch! Next time a DT call appears, you must, must and must enter! You’d be soooo awesome and with your inspiration, guaranteed that sales would sky-rocket! Thank you, dear friend, for the note about my PS win! I had no idea! What a treat – and following on the heels of your win makes it extra special! Your encouragement and support have played such a major role in my card-making; a huge part of any accomplishments I have are the result of your ‘belief’ in me. You truly are a gem!

You are very welcome, C! I just *knew* you’d win. As I said on your blog, your card is PERFECT. There is literally nothing you could have done to make it any better. Was a WELL-DESERVED win! Cannot wait to hear what you decide to get with your prize (and how long it takes to wing its way to you! It has me intrigued! lol). Thanks for your lovely praise, C. I’m not sure my cards are that inspiring, especially when you look at all the talent out there (yourself included!!) but I am grateful for your unwavering support! hugs!!
