Happy Easter…again

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a very happy Easter. I know Easter is over for this year (it flew by!) but I forgot to share one of the cards I had made so…better late than never, right?

I was going for a super sweet and simple look and I think I achieved it here. It’s so soft and pretty.

Here’s the card…

Hoppy Easter Materials used: Stamps - Happy Easter Holiday (Close To My Heart); Dies - Clouds (Paper Smooches); Designer Paper - Unknown; Distress Ink; Distress Markers; Mister Huey's Colour Mists - Powder Blue (Studio Calico) and Wink of Stella (Clear).

Going off on a tangent…I have had a few days off work this week and thought I might share some of the photographs I have taken on my travels around the state.

First up…here’s the view from Kalorama Park looking out across the valley.

From the same lookout we have a close up of Silvan Reservoir. So pretty.

Yesterday, I went coastal and spent a little time at my happy place (and no, it wasn’t the scrapbook shop, although I did visit there too. lol).

The weather had been forecast to be miserable but I went anyway and I am so glad I did. Yes, it was a little cool in the wind but boy, it was otherwise perfect.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!

I’m late in commenting, but not in admiring (ridiculous internet connections! Seriously aggravating!!). Your bunny card is exactly as you intended: soft, pretty, and darling! I second Bev: the gingham grass is charming, as is the textured sky, the popped up cloud and the trio of flowers. Absolutely wonderful! The same goes for your photos: my, but you live in the midst of gorgeous scenery and your photography skills in capturing the ‘awe’ are amazing (you are a woman of many talents!). The park looks lush, and the reservoir: wow! Your coastal photos…I can see why this is a favourite place! Beautiful harbour, and while I’m a tad frightened by large bodies of water (not sure why….), your pictures reveal a place quite serene. Hmmm…maybe I need to spend more times near lakes, rather than being mountain-bound (and sometimes they intimidate, too). Yet again, a post of sheer delight and creativity in soooooo many ways!1 Hugs to you, sweet friend!

Oh I am blushing, C! You always say the most wonderful things which really make me feel good. I just love it down the coast but really, like Bev says, any body of water is so peaceful for me. I can understand why you might be frightened – they are vast and with many hidden depths. 🙂 Love to see your mountains though. You do live in an extremely picturesque part of the world. 🙂 Thank you again for your lovely words. hugs!!

Sorry I’m late….I did take a quick peek at your card and photos yesterday, but a YKW and the meds kept me from getting to commenting. Sweet, sweet card. Gorgeous colors, and I love that gingham grass. Those little flowers are the perfect touch too. Nice photos! Our weather hasn’t started to cooperate much yet. When it does, I’ll get out and get some springtime photos to share but they won’t be nearly as dramatic as yours! That reservoir shot is amazing!! There’s just something so peaceful about large bodies of water, isn’t there?! I love living near Lake Michigan, or as I’ve brainwashed one of my little granddaughters to call it, “Grandma’s Lake.” LOL! Have a wonderful weekend. Bev

OH Bev, those YKW are shocking, aren’t they? I hate that you suffer so badly with them. As a fellow YKW sufferer, I really feel for you. hugs!! Thank you for your lovely comments. They mean more than I can say. I’m glad you liked my photos too. I was a bit hesitant to share them at first but I love seeing things like that too so figured…why not?! lol I am definitely hoping the weather improves for you soon as I cannot wait to see your pics, especially of Grandma’s Lake. lol 🙂

Loving the soft colors on the card, and even though it’s a bunny with an egg, it almost feels like it would make a fantastic baby card too.

Thanks for sharing the photos, too! It’s been so dark and dreary here today with massive rain, and seeing beautiful pictures of nature and water makes it feel just a bit better.

Oh yeah! Those colours would be so lovely for a baby card. Great idea! Thanks, Elle! Oh that isn’t good. You are due to have some good weather after all your harsh winter weather! Hope it is improving. 🙂
