AI Honourable Mention

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have been missing in action this week. Having managed to avoid all the coughs and colds throughout winter, I was struck down with the dreaded lurgy just in time for Spring. *sigh* It has severely limited my crafting time (which translates to I have struggled to get out of bed, let alone pick up a paintbrush)! So resting is high on the agenda.

Last night I was just browsing through a couple of websites and I remembered that I hadn’t checked out the results from the Art Impressions challenge (117 – AI People) which I entered with my Father’s Day card. Imagine my surprise and excitement to find out my card was selected as an “Honourable Mention“. SO THRILLED! And, because you know I need to have the visual reminder, here’s the screen capture of the announcement. Mine is the second card (but isn’t that first one cute – love the paper pieced dress!).

Oh, and I told my Dad that I won with his Father’s Day card. His response – “That’s because I made you move the dog!” lol

I hope you are all happy and well!

Happy Stamping!

Sorry to hear about your cold; hopefully you’ll be on the mend soon, especially since Spring is right around the corner for you. We’re entering into the summer-to-fall cross-over, where temperatures ramble all over the scale. Right now, it’s a rainy, gloomy Saturday – PERFECT for spend the day indoors, card-making (and perhaps a weensy bit of house-cleaning + cake-baking, should I find a recipe I can navigate !! My ‘baking skills’ are limited to chocolate chip cookies!). The forecast for later in the week shows summer weather returning. LOVE the variety…as long as ‘warm’ is the general theme! CONGRATS on your HM with your Father’s Day card; it is sooooo adorable! I must say, I laughed out loud when I read that the dog’s name was “Rowdy”! Hahahahaha!! Too, too funny!! Your dad’s comment broke me up, too! Sounds like my dad; when he writes his poems and I’m invited to make the cards, he makes sure that I know it’s ‘really’ all about his poems (he’s teasing…I think 🙂 ) Just so you know: your comments on my blog are AWESOME, always! Positive, uplifting, encouraging, heart-warming, thoughtful! You are such a gift! Feel better soon, my friend! Snuggle under some cozy quilts, sip on tea, nibble on chocolate…perhaps some chicken soup…

Thanks, C, I am feeling a lot better today but will be taking it easy. It is a gorgeous spring day today. The sun is shining, It’s not overly warm but not too cool either. We ramble all over the scale too. Actually Melbourne can do that at any time of the year. lol Hope you managed to find the perfect recipe for your chocky cake but there is nothing wrong with a big pile of chocky chip cookies if you cannot. 🙂

Thanks for the congratulations re my HM. Was so excited. Aren’t Dad’s funny? How amazing that you get to make the cards to showcase his poems! That is so fantastic. 🙂

Hope you have an amazing day! 🙂
