Smooches

by Kylie

Hi Everyone,

How did it get to be nearly a month since my last post? There are too many reasons to mention here as to why I’ve been absent from blog land but I have missed you all and seeing your fabulous creations and I have desperately missed creating.

Today I am happy to share two ‘typical Kylie’ cards (over two blog posts) and I am also going to enter them into the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge – Anything Goes competition.

Here’s my first card…

Smooches

I think I have finally embraced that this is my style. It really does make me happy. Just need more companies to create ‘build a scene’ stamps so that I can vary my scenes a bit more. That would be awesome! lol We stampers are never happy. lol

Happy Stamping!

Woo hooooo!!!Cheering, applauding, happy dancing with utmost glee that you’re back, with TWO posts! Hope that ‘whatever’ it was keeping you away is at bay so we’ll see you more often. You are missed, you know that!! Seeing your comments earlier today added more sparkles than you can possibly know! Your little cow scene is moo-velous (no point resisting being goofy!) – and I’m sooooo delighted you’re embracing YOUR style! No, it’s not Jennifer McGuire’s or Laura Bassen’s, or Kristina Werners’, or ‘whoever’ – it’s YOURS, and that’s what makes it outstanding and amazing! I, too, often feel like I’m ‘competing’ when I enter challenges – trying to follow ‘her’ style, or hers’ or someone else’s – and the applies with techniques. Watercolouring, misting, splattering, sponging, splodging – those just don’t work for me (and don’t really appeal to me). I embrace what others can do, and have to remember: I need to do my ‘own’ thing, just as you do. You are the Queen of the Scene (and colouring, and design), and you work MAGIC when you create them. Oh, *light bulb moment*’ – The Alley Way Stamps have images for making scenes (I tink I’ve seen you use them…), Penny Black (as you know), and maybe even Purple Onion. I know you’ll find ‘exactly’ what you’re looking for. So ecstatic you’re back; so dazzled and delighted by your cutie-patootie cow! Mega hugs~c

I can soo relate, C! I think it kicks me down occasionally when I look at some other artists and their creations. We definitely have to stop this comparison thing. It does no good! 🙂 Thanks for the hints on places to look for new stamps. lol I have a huge wish list now!! Hugs!!

Yay! You’re back! I was starting to get a bit worried, though I was hoping you were just busy with good things. I’ve missed seeing your creations (and reading your awesome comments!). Plus, you always inspire me to pull out my Paper Smooches stamps, and I feel like I’ve neglected them lately.

I love how this card looks like a photograph in an album. Not only is it fun and unique, but it just looks like a fantastic keepsake. I’m so glad to hear you’re embracing this as a style. With so much content and variety of supplies out there, it’s often hard to find a style that’s just your own. But I think you’ve managed beautifully.

I can’t wait to see what you’ll create next! 😀
